Walking
From Gacuriro, start by heading south on Gacuriro Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with KG 14 Avenue. Turn right onto KG 14 Avenue and walk straight for approximately 400 meters. The Kigali Genocide Memorial will be on your left, identifiable by its large entrance and signage.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle, begin your ride from Gacuriro by taking Gacuriro Road heading south. After about 1 kilometer, at the intersection with KG 14 Avenue, turn right. Continue cycling on KG 14 Avenue for about 400 meters. The memorial will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules. Bicycle rentals typically cost around 1,000 RWF per hour.
Motorcycle Taxi (Moto)
For a quicker option, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (commonly called a 'moto'). You can find them at various points in Gacuriro. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Kigali Genocide Memorial on KG 14 Avenue. The ride should take around 5-10 minutes and should cost approximately 1,500-2,500 RWF depending on traffic.
