Car
If you're traveling by car from Nyabarongo River, start by heading towards Kigali on the RN1 road. After approximately 10 km, take the exit towards Kicukiro. Continue on this road for another 5 km until you reach Kicukiro roundabout. From there, take the second exit onto the Kicukiro-Mukono Road. Drive for about 6 km, then turn left onto the road leading to Mount Bumbogo. The mountain is well marked, and you will find parking available at the base.

Public Transportation
To use public transportation, start by taking a moto-taxi or a local bus from Nyabarongo River to Kigali. Buses frequently run from Nyabarongo to Kigali and cost around 500 RWF. Once in Kigali, head to Nyabugogo bus station and look for buses heading towards Kicukiro. After a 30-minute ride (cost around 300 RWF), get off at Kicukiro roundabout. From there, catch a moto-taxi to the entrance of Mount Bumbogo for about 1,000 RWF.
