Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Gisenyi, take the RN4 road heading south towards Kibuye. Continue along this road for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Colline Ibanda. Turn left onto the road leading to Colline Ibanda and drive for about 5 kilometers. Follow the signs to Kabindi, which will be on your right. Ensure to have a GPS or map app open to assist with navigation, as some roads may not be well-marked.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Gisenyi, you can take a bus heading towards Kibuye. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Gisenyi. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 1,000 Rwandan Francs. Once you reach Kibuye, you will need to take a motorcycle taxi (also known locally as a 'moto') to Kabindi. Negotiate the fare with the driver, which should be around 2,000 to 3,000 Rwandan Francs for the short trip to Colline Ibanda.

    If you're already in Kibuye, you can hire a motorcycle taxi to take you directly to Kabindi. The ride will take about 15 minutes. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting, which should be around 2,000 to 3,000 Rwandan Francs. The drivers are usually familiar with the area and can take you right to the location.
