Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Nyagatare Main Market (Marché de Nyagatare), head south on Avenue de la Paix. Walk for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenue du Commerce. Turn right onto Avenue du Commerce and continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route Nationale 4 (RN4). Continue walking along RN4 for approximately 3 km. After reaching the sign for Kabuga, take a left onto a dirt road that leads towards Umusambi Village. Follow the dirt road for about 2 km until you see the entrance to Umusambi Village on your right.

  • Bicycle

    Start at the Nyagatare Central Park. Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop if you haven't already. Ride south on Avenue de la Paix for about 400 meters, then turn right onto Avenue du Commerce. Continue for 1 km until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route Nationale 4 (RN4) and cycle for about 3 km. Look for a sign indicating Kabuga, then turn left onto the dirt road. Keep cycling for approximately 2 km, and you will arrive at Umusambi Village on your right.

  • Motorbike Taxi (Moto)

    If you prefer a faster option, you can take a motorbike taxi. From any location in Nyagatare, ask for a moto to take you to Umusambi Village, specifying that it is located in Kabuga. The driver will take you along Avenue de la Paix, through the roundabout on RN4, and finally onto the dirt road leading to Umusambi Village. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
