Unforgettable experience with an amazing guide!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience on this gorilla trekking trip. The organization and pre-arrival communication was great, and seeing the gorillas was something I will never forget! Two things to note: 1) the trek definitely isn’t easy, but is worth it. And 2) Collin is the best guide you could ask for. He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable, prepared, and having a great trip. I highly recommend him for your guide.

5 Days Uganda Gorilla, Chimpanzee and Wildlife Safari

Incredible experience with Prime Safari - thank you Kate and Andrew

I did the 5 days, 4 nights chimpanzee and gorilla trekking tour with Prime Safaris, and every part of the trip was incredible. Here's my detailed breakdown. Booking & Communication: Kate and her husband are the co-owners of Prime Safaris, and it was so easy to set up this tour with them (over Whatsapp). They are extremely responsive and provided so much helpful information on what tour would best suit me in terms of budget and time that I had. They even welcomed me IN PERSON at my hotel the night before the tour started. I mean, who does that?? I've never received such an exceptional welcome. Tour Guide: Andrew was my AMAZING tour guide. He is from close to Entebbe/Kampala and has guided tours all over the country, so he really. knows his stuff. He was knowledgeable (not just about animals and the planned activities, but also things like how a certain village/town specialized in growing onions or pineapples), funny, a very good driver, and has excellent taste in music. Andrew has a great energy and spirit that was much needed during our long driving days! I would HIGHLY recommend asking for him as your guide. He even went out of his way to help me find a local restaurant serving local food when we returned on the last day of the tour. By the end of the trip, I really felt like Andrew and I had become friends (vs. a tour guide-tourist transactional relationship). Miscellaneous: I just can't say enough great things about Prime Safari - from Kate and her husband to my guide Andrew - every aspect of the trip was fantastic. You can really tell they put a lot of thought into the itinerary as well. I very much appreciated that we spent 2 nights at the same hotel the first 2 days of the trip. This help me rest well instead of feeling like I had to constantly get to the next destination. Kate and Andrew even helped me extend my stay by one night on what was supposed to be the last night of the trip at a place called Lake Bunyonyi. I enjoyed that area so much so I asked them last minute if we could arrange another night, and they flawlessly and quickly took care of it. Thank you Prime Safari, Kate, and Andrew. I had such a wonderful time exploring Uganda with you, and will 100% be back in the future.

Best tour I’ve ever been on. AMAZING!

This was the most incredible tour I have ever been on. Every day was a new adventure and I saw so much - lions, a leopard, Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Golden Monkeys, Giraffes, Elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Crocodiles. Michael was quick and reliable whilst organising, the tour guides (Silver and Patricia) are two of the kindest and amazing people I have met, the locations were stunning, food delicious and accommodation perfect with beautiful lodges overlooking the incredible countryside. I travelled solo and felt completely safe in Uganda. I also met the Bugoli team - they are a local tour company who employ local men and women in their offices and support a team at the local Albino charity.
