Getting There

    From the central Nyagatare market, head north towards Avenue de la Paix. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue des Nations. Turn left onto Avenue des Nations and keep walking until you reach the bus station. This is where local buses and motorcycles (boda-bodas) operate. Look for a boda-boda driver and tell them you want to go to Gorilla Guardians in Ruhengeri.

  • Boda-Boda

    The boda-boda driver will take you to the Ruhengeri area. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic conditions. Once you arrive in Ruhengeri, ask the driver to drop you off at the address ‘HGCP+4HP’ which is near Gorilla Guardians. You can also ask for directions to ensure you are getting close.

  • Walking from Boda-Boda Drop-off

    After being dropped off at HGCP+4HP, you will be very close to Gorilla Guardians. Walk towards the main entrance of the Gorilla Guardians facility, which will be clearly marked. If you have any difficulty finding it, don’t hesitate to ask locals for assistance, as they are familiar with the area.
