From the center of Nyamata, start at the Nyamata Market. Head south on Avenue de la Paix toward Rue de la revolution. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Avenue de l'Indépendance. Turn left onto Avenue de l'Indépendance and walk for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass various local shops and houses along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to the Nyanza Genocide Memorial. After about 1 kilometer, you will begin to see signs for the memorial. Continue straight until you reach the memorial entrance, which will be on your right.
