If you are starting from Rubavu town center, head towards Avenue du Lac. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la Paix. Turn left onto Avenue de la Paix and continue walking for approximately 300 meters. You will see a small park on your right; that is the beginning of the memorial area. Follow the path through the park, and you will find the Kenya Air Crash Victims Memorial located at coordinates 87H7+HM8.

From the town center, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops. Start your journey by biking along Avenue du Lac, heading north. After about 500 meters, take a left onto Avenue de la Paix. Continue for another 300 meters, and you will see the entrance to the memorial park on your right. Park your bike and walk along the designated paths to reach the memorial site.

While there are no direct buses to the memorial, you can take a moto-taxi from the town center to Avenue de la Paix. Ask the driver to drop you off near the intersection with Avenue du Lac. From there, it’s a short walk of about 300 meters to the memorial park entrance on your right. Follow the path to reach the memorial.
