Walking
Start from the center of Rubavu, near the main market. Head northeast on Avenue de la Révolution. After about 300 meters, take a left onto Rue de l’Industrie. Continue straight for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la Paix. Turn right on Avenue de la Paix, and walk for about 500 meters. The Kandt House Museum will be on your left, marked by a sign. Look for the distinctive architecture of the museum.
Bicycle
If you are renting a bicycle, start from the Rubavu waterfront. Cycle north along the lakeshore on the bike-friendly path. After about 2 kilometers, take a right onto Avenue de la Paix. Continue cycling for another 1 kilometer until you reach the Kandt House Museum on your left. Be cautious of pedestrians and traffic as you approach the museum.
Public Transport (Moto-taxi)
From any point in Rubavu, you can catch a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) to Kandt House Museum. Simply tell the driver 'Kandt House Museum' or 'KN 90 Street'. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting the ride. The moto-taxi will drop you off directly at the museum entrance.
