    From the Rubavu town center, head towards Avenue du Lac. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Avenue de l'Indépendance. Turn left onto Avenue de l'Indépendance and walk for about 1 km. You will pass by several shops and eateries. Continue walking until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route Nationale 1 (RN1) heading towards Kayumba. Walk along RN1 for approximately 2 km. Look for signs directing you to Ntarama Genocide Memorial. The memorial is located on your right side near the village of Kayumba. Follow the signs and walk towards the memorial entrance. It should take you around 30-40 minutes of walking.
