Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Ruhengeri, head north on Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Avenue du Parc. Turn left onto Avenue du Parc and follow it for approximately 3 kilometers. You will see signs for Volcanoes National Park. The entrance to the park will be on your right.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from any local shop in Ruhengeri. Start at the central market and ride north on Avenue de la Révolution for about 1 kilometer. At the junction with Avenue du Parc, take a left and continue cycling for about 3 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signage indicating Volcanoes National Park, which will be on your right. Parking for bicycles is available near the entrance.

  • Motorbike Taxi (Moto)

    Hail a motorbike taxi from your location in Ruhengeri. Inform the driver that you want to go to Volcanoes National Park. The driver will take you along Avenue de la Révolution heading north for about 1 kilometer, then they will turn left onto Avenue du Parc. You will then travel for approximately 3 kilometers, and the entrance to the park will be on your right. The ride should take around 15 minutes.
