Getting There

Walking
From the center of Ruhengeri, head south on Avenue de la Revolution. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route Nationale 4 (RN4). After about 1 kilometer, you will see signposts indicating the direction to Volcanoes National Park. Follow the signs, and you will eventually reach the park's entrance.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ruhengeri. Start by cycling south down Avenue de la Revolution for 1.5 kilometers. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route Nationale 4 (RN4). Continue cycling for about 1 kilometer, and look out for signposts that direct you to Volcanoes National Park. Follow the signs, and you'll arrive at the park entrance.

Motorbike Taxi
In Ruhengeri, find a motorbike taxi (moto) by heading to a nearby moto park or flagging one down on the street. Tell the driver you want to go to Volcanoes National Park. They will take you along Avenue de la Revolution and onto Route Nationale 4 (RN4), where you will see the signs for the park entrance. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.

Public Transport (Minibus)
Locate the minibus station in Ruhengeri, where you can catch a bus heading towards Musanze. Board the minibus and inform the conductor that you want to get off at the stop for Volcanoes National Park. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the park entrance, which is a short walk from the drop-off point.
