    Start from the center of Ruhengeri, near the main market. Head south on Avenue de la République towards the intersection with Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue du 1er Novembre. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach a large intersection with traffic lights. Turn left onto Avenue de Kigali. After about 500 meters, you will see the Gorilla Statue on your right, located in a small park area. It's a prominent landmark, so you can't miss it.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Ruhengeri bus station. Cycle south on Avenue de la République, passing by the main market. Continue straight until you reach a large roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue du 1er Novembre. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer, and then turn left onto Avenue de Kigali at the traffic lights. The Gorilla Statue will be approximately 500 meters ahead on your right side.

    From the Ruhengeri bus station, take a moto-taxi heading towards Kigali. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kiyovu. The driver will take you directly to the area near the Gorilla Statue. Once you arrive in Kiyovu, ask the driver to drop you off near the small park where the statue is located. It should be a short walk from there.
