Getting There

Walking
Starting from the center of Ruhengeri, head northwest on Avenue de la Republique towards Avenue de l'Independence. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach a major intersection. At the intersection, take a left onto Avenue des Colons. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers, keeping the local markets on your left. You will see a sign for Mountain Gorilla View Lodge on your right side. The lodge is located just off the main road, so look for the entrance which will lead you to the lodge's parking area.

Bicycle
From the main bus station in Ruhengeri, rent a bicycle. Head south on Avenue de la Republique and then take a right onto Avenue des Colons. Continue cycling straight for about 2 kilometers. As you approach the outskirts of the town, watch for the sign for Mountain Gorilla View Lodge on your left. Turn left at the sign and follow the access road leading up to the lodge.

Find a moto-taxi stand in the center of Ruhengeri. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. The drivers are familiar with the area, so they will take you directly to the lodge. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
