Getting There

Walking
Start at the center of Ruhengeri, near the main bus station. Walk west on Avenue de la République until you reach the intersection with Avenue du Commerce. Turn right and continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the road leading towards Nyanza. Continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers until you see a sign for Mwima Mausoleum on your left. The mausoleum is located a short distance off the main road on an unnamed road. Follow the path leading to the mausoleum.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ruhengeri. Start from the main square and head west on Avenue de la République. After about 500 meters, turn right onto Avenue du Commerce. Continue cycling straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit and proceed on the road towards Nyanza. Cycle for roughly 2 kilometers, and look for the sign for Mwima Mausoleum on your left. Once you see the sign, park your bicycle and follow the path to the mausoleum.
