From the center of Ruhengeri, head south on Avenue du Commerce. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenue de la Paix. Walk until you reach the intersection with Avenue de l'Indépendance. Turn left onto Avenue de l'Indépendance and follow this road out of the city. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will come to a fork in the road. Keep right to stay on Avenue de l'Indépendance. After about 3 kilometers, you'll see a sign for Ntarama Genocide Memorial. The memorial is a short walk from the main road; follow the signs to reach it.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Ruhengeri. Start your journey by heading south on Avenue du Commerce. Continue to the roundabout and take the first exit onto Avenue de la Paix.
