Getting there

Walking

If you are in the center of Nyamata, start at the Nyamata Genocide Memorial. Head southwest on Avenue de la Paix towards Avenue de la Réunion. Turn left onto Avenue de la Réunion, and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by local shops and cafes. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto the main road (Route Nationale 1). Continue straight for another 700 meters until you reach the intersection with a sign for Nyanza. Turn right at this intersection, and after about 300 meters, you will see Destination Nyanza on your left.

Bicycle

From Nyamata's town center, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Start your ride heading south on Avenue de la Paix. Continue following the road until you hit the main road (Route Nationale 1). Turn left and ride for approximately 2 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating Nyanza to your right. Follow this road for another 300 meters, and you will arrive at Destination Nyanza, which is located on the left side of the road.

Motorbike Taxi

To get to Destination Nyanza using a motorbike taxi, find a designated motorbike taxi stand in Nyamata, often located near busy areas like the market or the Genocide Memorial. Negotiate the fare with the driver before getting on. Instruct the driver to take you to Destination Nyanza. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the entrance.

Public Bus

To reach Destination Nyanza by public bus, locate the bus station in Nyamata, which is usually near the market area. Look for a bus heading towards Nyanza; these buses often have 'Nyanza' displayed on the front. Board the bus and pay the fare (usually around 500 RWF). The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Nyanza, get off at the main station. From there, walk straight for about 5 minutes; you will find Destination Nyanza on your left.
