If you're driving, head to the NR1 road in Butare. From the center of Butare, follow the NR1 road south for about 2 kilometers. The Ethnographic Museum will be on your right. Look for the large sign indicating the museum. There is parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach the Ethnographic Museum using public transport, first take a bus or taxi to the main bus terminal in Butare. From the terminal, you can catch a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) or a local taxi to the museum. The cost for a moto-taxi is approximately 1,000 RWF, and it should take around 5 minutes to reach the museum from the bus terminal.
