    If you're driving, start from the nearest major city, Huye. Take the RN10 road south towards Nyamagabe. The journey is approximately 40 kilometers and should take around an hour. Once you reach Nyamagabe, look for signs directing you to Kitabi Eco-Center. The center is located just outside the town of Nyamagabe, and you can follow the local road signs. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Eco-Center's distinctive signage along the way.

  • Public Transportation

    To use public transportation, head to the Nyamagabe bus station in Huye. Take a bus heading towards Nyamagabe (check for those marked 'Nyamagabe' or 'Kitabi'). The bus journey should take about one hour and cost around 1,000 RWF. Upon arriving at Nyamagabe, you can either take a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) to Kitabi Eco-Center, which will cost approximately 1,500 RWF, or walk if you're up for it (it's about a 30-minute walk).

  • Moto-Taxi

    If you prefer a quicker option once in Nyamagabe, you can hire a moto-taxi to take you directly to Kitabi Eco-Center. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 1,500 RWF. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow safety protocols while riding.
