Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Basseterre, head northwest on Fort Street towards the roundabout. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Island Main Road. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Island Main Road (A1). Follow the Island Main Road for approximately 6 kilometers. Along the way, you will pass through several local neighborhoods and may encounter some steep inclines. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Brimstone Hill Fortress. After about 30-45 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the entrance of Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, which will be on your right.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the center of Basseterre, walk to the bus terminal located near the Circus. Look for the bus heading to Sandy Point Town. The buses are usually marked with their destination. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Brimstone Hill Fortress. The bus will drop you off at the nearest stop to the fortress. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately 10 minutes) up the hill to the entrance of Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park.
