Start from the center of Basseterre, near the Independence Square. Head north on Cayon Street until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the Bay Road (also known as the Frigate Bay Road). Continue walking along this road for approximately 2.5 kilometers, enjoying the views of the coastline. After passing several local shops and restaurants, look for signs pointing towards Brimstone Hill. Follow the signs as they guide you to the left onto a smaller road leading uphill towards the fortress. The walk should take around 30-40 minutes from the square.

While walking is a great way to explore, you might prefer to take a taxi or shuttle for convenience. From your hotel or any location in Basseterre, ask for a taxi to Brimstone Hill Fortress. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey. The drive should take approximately 20 minutes, and the drivers are familiar with the fortress location. Once you arrive, the taxi can wait for you while you explore the fortress or arrange to pick you up at a specific time.

For an economical option, look for local buses heading toward Sandy Point or Cayon. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop in Basseterre and inform the driver that you want to go to Brimstone Hill. The bus will take you close to the fortress entrance. The ride might take around 30 minutes. However, be sure to ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Brimstone Hill, as stops may not always be announced.
