Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of Basseterre at the Independence Square. Head southeast on Fort Street, passing local shops and restaurants. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights at the intersection with Wellington Road. Cross the intersection and continue along the same road, which becomes Frigate Bay Road. Follow Frigate Bay Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will begin to see signs for Frigate Bay and the beach area. Once you reach the end of the road, you will find yourself at Frigate Bay Beach.

From Basseterre, go to the bus terminal located near the Independence Square. Look for a bus heading to Frigate Bay; these are usually labeled with their destination. Board the bus, which will take you directly to Frigate Bay. The journey is about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive, you will be dropped off near the beach area, where you can explore the beautiful surroundings.
