Getting there

Walking

From the center of Basseterre, head towards the waterfront at Port Zante. Walk along the coast until you reach the roundabout at the entrance of Frigate Bay Road. Continue straight on Frigate Bay Road, following the signs for Frigate Bay. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. You will be surrounded by local shops and restaurants, so feel free to stop along the way. Once you reach the Frigate Bay area, you can follow the signs leading to the beach.

Public Bus

Head to the bus terminal located near the Circus in Basseterre. Look for a bus heading to Frigate Bay; these buses are often marked with their destination. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Frigate Bay, you can easily walk to the beach area, which is just a short distance from the bus stop.

Taxi

You can find taxis around the Circus or at designated taxi stands throughout Basseterre. Ask the driver to take you to Frigate Bay. The journey will be about 10-15 minutes, and it’s advisable to agree on a fare before starting your trip. Taxis here don’t use meters, so make sure to confirm the price beforehand. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off close to the beach area.
