Car
From Black Rocks, take the main road (Cayon Street) heading south towards the town of Cayon. Continue on this road for about 5 km until you reach the junction at Cayon. Turn left onto the road leading to the Mount Liamuiga trailhead. Follow the signs indicating Mount Liamuiga. There is limited parking available at the trailhead, so plan to arrive early during peak times. Note: a small fee may apply for parking, typically around $5 USD.
Public Transportation
From Black Rocks, you can catch a bus or a taxi van heading towards Cayon. These typically leave from designated bus stops. The fare is usually around $2-3 USD. Inform the driver that you are going to Mount Liamuiga. Once you arrive in Cayon, you will need to walk approximately 1 km to the Mount Liamuiga trailhead. Look for signs or ask locals for directions. Ensure you have cash on hand for both the bus fare and any potential fees for the trail.
Hiking
Once you have reached the Mount Liamuiga trailhead, prepare for a challenging hike. The trail is steep and can be slippery, so proper hiking shoes are recommended.
