Car
From Nevis Peak, head southwest on the main road (Nisbet Plantation Road) towards the island's capital, Charlestown. Continue for approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) until you reach the intersection with the main road (Island Main Road). Turn right onto the Island Main Road and drive for another 1.5 miles (2.4 km). Look for signs indicating Olivees Mountain, and follow the road leading uphill. There may be some unpaved sections, so proceed with caution. Parking is available near the trailhead.
Public Transportation
To reach Olivees Mountain via public transportation, take a bus or taxi from Nevis Peak to Charlestown. The bus service operates regularly, and you can ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection with the Island Main Road. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1.5 miles) or take a taxi to the trailhead for Olivees Mountain. Ensure you confirm with the driver about the best stop for accessing the mountain.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the trailhead for Olivees Mountain, prepare for a hike. The trail is well-marked, but be sure to wear sturdy footwear and bring plenty of water. The hike can take between 1 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to start early in the day to allow ample time for your hike and to enjoy the stunning views at the summit.
