Walking
From the center of Castries, head towards the waterfront and find the main road (John Compton Highway). Walk along the roadway towards the south, passing by the Castries Market on your left. Continue straight until you reach the intersection where you see the statue of Sir John Compton. Cross the road carefully and continue heading south on Jeremie Street, which will lead you out of the city. Keep walking until you reach a bus stop where you can catch a minibus to Morne Fortune.

At the bus stop on Jeremie Street, look for a minibus heading to Morne Fortune. These buses are frequent, and the fare is usually around $1-2 EC. When you get on the bus, inform the driver you are going to Mt Fortune. The bus will take you up the hill, and you will need to get off when you see the entrance to the road leading to Mt Fortune. It should be a short ride of about 10-15 minutes.

Once you get off the minibus, you will see a sign for Mt Fortune. Begin walking up the dirt path that leads to the peak. The trail can be steep, so take your time and enjoy the beautiful views of Castries and the surrounding area as you ascend. It's advisable to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
