Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Castries Market, begin by heading east on Sir John Compton Highway. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and eateries. Keep an eye out for local signage that indicates the direction to Vigie. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach the roundabout at the Vigie Highway. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Vigie Highway. From there, continue straight for another 1 kilometer until you see signs for the Vigie Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at the end of Beacon Road.

    If you are near the Royal St. Lucia Turf Club, start walking east on the road leading towards the Vigie Peninsula. Walk for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Vigie Highway. Turn left onto the Vigie Highway and continue straight for approximately 600 meters. Look for signage directing you towards Vigie Lighthouse. After a short walk, you will arrive at the lighthouse situated at the end of Beacon Road.

    From the Castries Waterfront, proceed north along the waterfront promenade until you reach the Sir John Compton Highway. At the highway, turn left and walk for about 1 kilometer. You will come across the junction with the Vigie Highway. At the junction, turn right onto Vigie Highway and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. As you approach the lighthouse area, follow the signs to Beacon Road, where Vigie Lighthouse is located.
