From the center of Gros Islet, start walking towards the main road, which is called the Gros Islet Highway. You will want to head south towards Rodney Bay. Once you reach the intersection at Rodney Bay, continue straight. After approximately 1.5 km, you will come to a bus stop. At this bus stop, you can catch a local bus heading to Castries or Sainte-Anne. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to Savane des Pétrifications in Sainte-Anne. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes.

From Gros Islet, head to the nearest bus terminal located near the main road. Look for a bus that is heading towards Sainte-Anne or the south coast of the island. The driver will drop you off near the entrance to Savane des Pétrifications. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
