Getting There
Car
From Micoud Quarter, head northwest on the main road towards Castries. Continue for about 10 km until you reach the junction for the A1 highway. Take a left onto the A1 highway and follow it for about 6 km. Look for signs for Pigeon Island National Landmark. Take the exit towards Pigeon Island and follow the road until you reach the parking area. Please note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared to pay around $5-10 EC (East Caribbean dollars) for parking.
Public Transportation
From Micoud Quarter, you can catch a public minibus heading towards Castries. Make sure to tell the driver that you are heading to Pigeon Island. The fare is usually around $7 EC. Once you arrive in Castries, you will need to transfer to another minibus or taxi that goes to Pigeon Island. The additional fare for this leg of the journey will be approximately $5-7 EC. The minibus will drop you off at the entrance to Pigeon Island National Landmark, from where you can walk to Fort Rodney.
Walking
If you are already at Pigeon Island National Landmark, you can walk to Fort Rodney from the entrance. The hike to the fort is approximately 1 km uphill. Follow the marked paths and enjoy the scenic views along the way. It may take around 20-30 minutes to reach the fort, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water for hydration.
