Walking
From the center of Georgetown, head towards the waterfront and locate the main road leading out of town. Walk along the main road (Bay Street) in the direction of the Clare Valley. Continue walking for about 20 minutes until you reach the intersection with the road to Clare Valley. Look for signs pointing to Fort Charlotte. After the intersection, you will reach a slight incline; keep walking uphill. Fort Charlotte is situated on a hill overlooking the bay, so it will be visible as you approach. Follow the pathway to the entrance.

Start at the main market area in Georgetown. Look for a minibus or local bus heading towards Clare Valley, which can usually be found along the main road. Inform the driver that you are going to Fort Charlotte. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop for Clare Valley, ask the driver to let you know when to get off. From the bus stop, walk up the road that leads to Fort Charlotte, which is a short 10-minute walk up the hill. Follow the path leading to the entrance of the fort.
