Car
If you are driving, start from Kingstown, the capital of Saint Vincent. Head south on the A1 road towards the town of Georgetown. At the roundabout near the airport, take the exit towards the ferry terminal in Kingstown. Make sure to follow the signs for the Bequia ferry. The ferry ride will take approximately 1 hour and costs around $30 USD per person. Once you arrive at the Bequia ferry terminal, you will be in Port Elizabeth, which is the main town on Bequia.
Public Transportation
To reach Bequia via public transportation, first take a minibus or taxi from your location in Grenadines to Kingstown. The fare is typically around $5 USD depending on the distance. Upon arriving in Kingstown, proceed to the ferry terminal located near the waterfront. Purchase a ticket for the Bequia ferry, which costs approximately $30 USD for a one-way trip. Once onboard, enjoy the scenic ride to Bequia, which lasts about 1 hour. Upon arrival at the Port Elizabeth terminal, you can explore Bequia by foot, taxi, or local transport.
Private Boat
If you prefer a more direct and private route, consider hiring a private boat from nearby islands or from Kingstown. This option can be more expensive, with costs varying widely based on the provider, but expect to pay upwards of $200 USD for the journey. The travel time will depend on the departure point, but it typically takes around 30-45 minutes. Make sure to arrange your departure in advance and confirm the boat's schedule.
