    From the center of Kingstown, head northwest toward Bay Street. Walk along Bay Street until you reach the intersection with the main road leading towards Clare Valley. Continue straight along the main road for about 2 kilometers. You will pass by the local market on your left. After passing the market, keep going until you see signs pointing towards Fort Charlotte. The entrance to Fort Charlotte will be on your right. It’s a steep walk up to the fort, so take your time.

  • Public Bus

    Catch a local bus heading towards Clare Valley from the bus terminal located near the Kingstown market. The buses are usually small vans and will have 'Clare Valley' displayed on the front. The fare is minimal, so have a small amount of cash ready. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Clare Valley, get off when the driver points to Fort Charlotte. From there, it's a short walk up the hill to the fort entrance.

  • Taxi

    You can take a local taxi from Kingstown to Fort Charlotte. Look for a taxi stand near the market or flag one down on the street.
