Walking
From the center of Apia, head towards the main road, Beach Road. Walk along Beach Road until you reach the intersection with the main road leading to the airport (Alofi Road). Cross the street carefully and take Alofi Road heading east. Continue on this road for about 15 minutes until you reach the junction with Le Mafa Pass Road. Turn right onto Le Mafa Pass Road. Follow this road for about 30 minutes on foot. You will start to hear the sound of the waterfall as you approach. The waterfall is located near the end of Le Mafa Pass Road, and you may need to hike a bit off the road to reach the waterfall itself.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Apia, find a local bus station or a bus stop along Beach Road. Look for buses that indicate 'Le Mafa' or 'Waterfalls' in their destination signs. Board the bus and pay the fare (usually very affordable). The bus will take you along Alofi Road. Get off at the junction with Le Mafa Pass Road. From there, you will need to walk for about 30 minutes along Le Mafa Pass Road to reach the waterfall. Listen for the sound of water as you approach your destination.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Apia. Start your ride by heading towards Beach Road and then take Alofi Road. Continue riding for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Le Mafa Pass Road. Turn right and pedal for about 30 minutes. The waterfall will be on your right side as you near the end of Le Mafa Pass Road. You may need to park your bicycle and walk a short distance to reach the waterfall.
