Walking
From the center of Asau, head southeast on Main Road (Fugalei Road) for about 1.5 kilometers. You'll pass by local shops and small eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the sign indicating the turn-off to Vailoa. Once you see the sign, turn left onto the dirt road. Continue walking for another 1 kilometer until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right path which leads directly to the Afu Aau Waterfalls. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Asau. Start your ride heading southeast on Main Road (Fugalei Road) for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the sign pointing to Vailoa and turn left onto the dirt road. Continue cycling for about 1 kilometer until you reach the fork in the road. Take the right path to the Afu Aau Waterfalls. The cycling journey should take around 15-20 minutes.
Local Bus/Minibus
Catch a local bus or minibus from the main bus stop in Asau. Make sure to ask the driver if they stop at Vailoa. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you reach Vailoa, ask the driver to let you off near the sign for Afu Aau Waterfalls. After disembarking, walk along the dirt road for about 1 kilometer, and then take the right fork to reach the waterfalls.
