Walking
From the center of Mulifanua, start walking towards the main road (Faleolo Airport Road). Head east until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the coast. Turn right onto this coastal road. Continue walking along the road, enjoying the scenic views of the ocean. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see signs directing you towards Mu Pagoa Waterfall. Follow the signs which will lead you onto a small hiking trail. The trail may be steep and rocky, so wear appropriate footwear. The waterfall is about a 30-minute walk from the main road.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Mulifanua. Start your ride heading towards the main road (Faleolo Airport Road) and turn east. Continue along the road, keeping an eye out for signs for Mu Pagoa Waterfall. The ride will take you approximately 20 minutes to reach the coastal road intersection. At the intersection, turn right and cycle for another 2 kilometers. You will see the trailhead for the waterfall on your left. Park your bicycle here and walk the remaining distance, which is a 30-minute hike to the waterfall.
Guided Tour
Join a local guided tour that offers transportation from Mulifanua to Mu Pagoa Waterfall. Tours typically start in the morning, so check with local tour operators for schedules. The guide will take you directly to the trailhead. This option is great for those who prefer not to navigate on their own, as the guide will provide insights about the local culture and environment along the way. The hike to the waterfall will still be around 30 minutes, but you’ll have the added benefit of a knowledgeable guide.
