Walking
From Salelologa's main market area, head east on Main Road (Auala Street) toward the ferry terminal. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Vailoa Road. Turn left onto Vailoa Road and follow it for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass through local villages and see beautiful landscapes. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Afu Aau Waterfalls. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the entrance to the waterfalls on your right. Follow the pathway to the falls, which will take another 5-10 minutes on foot through lush greenery.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle, start from the Salelologa market area and ride east on Main Road (Auala Street) towards the ferry terminal. After approximately 1 kilometer, turn left onto Vailoa Road. Continue cycling on Vailoa Road for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for signs pointing to Afu Aau Waterfalls. The entrance will be on your right. Park your bicycle and take the short walking path to the falls, which will take approximately 5-10 minutes.
Public Transport
Catch a local bus from Salelologa to Vailoa. Buses usually leave from near the market area and will have 'Vailoa' written on them. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Vailoa, ask the bus driver or locals for directions to Afu Aau Waterfalls. It’s a short walk from the bus drop-off point. Follow the signs or ask around to guide you to the entrance of the waterfalls, which is a few minutes away on foot.
