Getting There

• Car

  From Va'a-o-Fonoti, head south on the main highway (Main South Coast Road). Continue driving for approximately 15 km until you reach the junction for Sauago. Turn left at this junction following the signs for Sauago. After about 2 km, you will see the signs directing you to Lemafa Scenic Site. The road may become narrower as you approach the site, so drive carefully. There is no parking fee at the scenic site, but check the condition of the road as it can vary depending on weather.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Lemafa Scenic Site via public transport, find a local bus that travels along the Main South Coast Road towards Sauago. Buses typically run every hour. Inform the driver that you are heading to Lemafa Scenic Site, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From the bus stop, it is approximately a 2 km walk to the site. Please be aware that there may be a small fare for the bus, usually around 5-10 tala, depending on your starting point.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby in Sauago, you can walk to Lemafa Scenic Site. Start from the center of Sauago and head towards the coast on the main road. Follow the signs for Lemafa Scenic Site. The walk is approximately 2 km and takes about 30-40 minutes. Be mindful of local traffic and ensure you have adequate water and sun protection, as there may not be shade along the route.
