Car

If you're driving, start from the center of Va'a-o-Fonoti. Head south on the main road (Auala Road). Follow the road until you see signs for Mauga Tele. The peak is located approximately 12 km from the center. There is a small parking area near the base of the trail. Parking is free of charge.

Public Transportation

To reach Mauga Tele by public transport, you can take a bus or a shared taxi (also known as a 'fa'ataupati') from the main bus terminal in Va'a-o-Fonoti. Look for buses heading towards the south side of the island. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for Mauga Tele. The fare is usually around 5-10 WST (Samoan Tala) depending on your starting point. After getting off, you will need to walk to the base of the mountain where the trail begins.

Walking

If you're already in the vicinity of Mauga Tele and prefer to walk, take the path leading from the nearest road towards the mountain. The walk can be steep and requires sturdy shoes. Ensure you bring water and snacks for the hike. The trail may take about 1-2 hours to reach the summit, depending on your fitness level.
