If you're driving, start from the center of Va'a-o-Fonoti. Head south on the main road (Auala Road). Follow the road until you see signs for Mauga Tele. The peak is located approximately 12 km from the center. There is a small parking area near the base of the trail. Parking is free of charge.

Public Transportation
To reach Mauga Tele by public transport, you can take a bus or a shared taxi (also known as a 'fa'ataupati') from the main bus terminal in Va'a-o-Fonoti. Look for buses heading towards the south side of the island. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for Mauga Tele. The fare is usually around 5-10 WST (Samoan Tala) depending on your starting point. After getting off, you will need to walk to the base of the mountain where the trail begins.
