The Majestic Third Tower of Montale: A Historical Gem

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Monte Pulito, start by heading southeast on Via delle Scuole toward Via C. Battisti. Continue onto Via dei Santi and follow the signs to San Marino. After approximately 3 km, you'll reach the city center. From there, follow Via della Libertà and then take a left onto Via della Repubblica. Continue until you see signs for the Third Tower - Montale, which is about 2 km away. There is a parking area near the entrance to the tower, but be mindful of local parking regulations. Note that parking may incur a small fee.

• Public Transportation

  From Monte Pulito, take Bus Line 1 towards San Marino. The bus will take you directly to the city center. Once you arrive at the bus station, walk towards the main street, Via della Libertà. From there, you can catch another bus or walk to the Third Tower - Montale. If walking, follow Via della Repubblica for about 2 km. The tower is well-marked with signs. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary throughout the day.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and are already in Monte Pulito, you can hike to the Third Tower - Montale from the city center. Start at the main square and take Via della Libertà. Follow the signs leading you towards the fortress area, and then continue on foot for about 2 km. The walk offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The hiking trail may have some steep sections, so be prepared for a bit of a workout!
