From the center of São Tomé City, head towards the Praça da Independência. Once you reach the square, locate the street named Avenida 12 de Julho. Follow this avenue north until you reach the end, where it intersects with Rua da Liberdade. Turn left onto Rua da Liberdade and continue walking straight until you reach the main bus station, Terminal Rodoviário. Here, you can ask for a local guide or find a shared taxi (known as a 'taxi coletivo') heading towards Monte Café, which is the closest area to the waterfall.

Inform the driver that you want to go to Saint Nicholas Waterfall. They will know the area, and some drivers may even offer to take you directly to the waterfall or drop you off at a nearby point where you can start your hike.

After being dropped off at Monte Café, you will need to hike to reach Saint Nicholas Waterfall. The trail begins near the local café in Monte Café. Follow the path that leads into the lush greenery.
