Car
From Lagoa Azul, head southeast on the main road (EN1) towards São Tomé city. Continue on EN1 for approximately 10 km until you reach the intersection towards Plateau. Turn left onto the road leading into Plateau. Continue for about 5 km, following the signs for Java. After passing through the town, keep an eye out for Roça Java, located at the coordinates 7M62+VW7. You can park near the entrance.
Public Transportation
Catch a local minibus (called 'carrinha') from Lagoa Azul heading towards São Tomé city. The fare is typically around 2,000 Dobra. Inform the driver you want to get off at Plateau. Once you arrive in Plateau, you may need to take a taxi or walk the last 3 km to Roça Java, which is situated at 7M62+VW7 in Java. Taxis are available and should cost around 5,000 Dobra.
Walking
If you find yourself in Plateau and prefer to walk, head northwest from the center of Plateau towards Java. It's about a 3 km walk, which should take roughly 30-40 minutes. Follow the road signs leading to Java, and you will arrive at Roça Java located at 7M62+VW7.
