Car

If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Arar, which is the capital of the Northern Borders region. Head southwest on Route 80M towards Al-Jawf. Continue on this route for approximately 180 km until you reach the town of Al-Riyadh. From Al-Riyadh, take Route 85 towards the direction of Al-Haditha. After about 30 km, you will see a sign for The Thumb (25.86696, 48.76660) on your right. Follow the signs for the last 5 km to reach the site. Parking is available near the entrance.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Arar to Al-Riyadh. Buses leave regularly from the Arar bus station and the fare is approximately SAR 20-30. Once you arrive in Al-Riyadh, you can hire a taxi or use a ride-sharing app to reach The Thumb. The taxi ride should cost around SAR 50-70 and will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm the destination with the driver to ensure they know The Thumb.
