Walking from Dakar city center
Start at Place de l'Independence in the city center of Dakar. Head southwest on Rue de la République towards Avenue Moussa Tavele. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop. Turn left onto Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop and walk for approximately 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenue Fann. Turn right onto Avenue Fann and continue walking for about 800 meters. You will pass local shops and eateries along the way. Once you reach the coast, you will see the beautiful views of the ocean. Continue along the coastal road (Corniche) for another 1 km until you arrive at Corniche Ouest, where you can enjoy the scenery and the local atmosphere.

Using public transport (Taxi-Brousse)
From the city center, make your way to the main bus station (Gare routière de Dakar) located at Rue de la Gare. Look for a Taxi-Brousse heading towards the Fann-Point E-Amitié area. The ride will take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in the Fann-Point E-Amitié neighborhood, disembark at the nearest stop. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Corniche Ouest. If walking, head towards the coastline and follow the road to your left, which will lead you directly to Corniche Ouest.
