Walking
If you're near the central part of Plateau, start walking towards Avenue Moussa Tavele. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue El Hadji Malick Sy. Turn left onto Avenue El Hadji Malick Sy and continue straight for about 500 meters. You will come to a roundabout; take the second exit, which leads you onto Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop. Follow this avenue for approximately 700 meters. You will see the IFAN Historical Museum on your right side, just before the intersection with Avenue Lamine Gueye.
Public Transport (Taxi)
From anywhere in Plateau, you can catch a shared taxi (known as 'clando') heading towards the direction of the museum. Simply tell the driver 'IFAN Museum' or 'Musée IFAN'. The fare should be around 200-400 CFA (approximately $0.35-$0.70). The driver will drop you off near the museum, and from there, it’s a short walk to the entrance.
Public Transport (Bus)
Look for a bus that heads towards the Gorée Island ferry terminal. You can catch this bus from various points in Plateau. Ask the bus conductor to let you know when you reach the stop for the IFAN Historical Museum. The fare is about 150 CFA (approximately $0.25). After disembarking, walk approximately 5 minutes towards Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop, and you will see the museum ahead.
