Car
From Fatick, head towards the N1 highway (also known as the Route Nationale 1) northbound. Follow the signs for Dakar, which is approximately 80 km away. Once you reach Dakar, stay on the N1 and look for signs to Ouakam. The African Renaissance Monument is located at PGC4+V2M. You can park nearby, but be prepared for potential parking fees in the area.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Fatick, take a local bus (known as 'car rapide') heading towards Dakar. The fare is typically around 1,500 CFA francs. Once you arrive in Dakar, get off at the Terminus (main bus station). You can then take a taxi or another local bus heading towards Ouakam. The taxi should cost around 2,000 to 3,000 CFA francs to reach the monument. Confirm with the driver that you are going to the African Renaissance Monument (Monument de la Renaissance Africaine).

For a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Fatick to Dakar. This trip may cost around 15,000 to 20,000 CFA francs, depending on negotiation and time of day. Once in Dakar, you can instruct the driver to take you to the African Renaissance Monument, located at PGC4+V2M in the Ouakam area.
