Car
From Kédougou, head south on N7 towards Kote. Continue for approximately 42 kilometers. Once you reach the vicinity of Kote, look for signs pointing to Bassari Country. The exact location is at coordinates 12.5509° N, 12.8427° W. You can use a GPS device or a map application on your phone to guide you directly to H524+9WG, Kote, where Bassari Country is located. Parking is generally available nearby.
Public Transportation (Bus)
In Kédougou, find the bus station (Gare Routière) where you can catch a bush taxi or a minibus heading towards Kote. The fare is usually around 1,500 to 2,000 CFA Francs per person. The journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic and the number of stops. Inform the driver that you want to go to Bassari Country or Kote, and they will drop you off at the appropriate location. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach H524+9WG.
Motorcycle Taxi (Jakarta)
You can also opt for a motorcycle taxi, commonly known as 'Jakarta.' They are readily available in Kédougou. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should cost around 1,000 to 1,500 CFA Francs per person. The motorcycle taxi can take you directly to Bassari Country, which is about a 30-minute ride from Kédougou, depending on traffic conditions.
