Walking
Start at the central market in Mbour. Head north on Avenue de la République until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Route de la Petite Côte. Continue straight for about 2 km until you reach the bus station. Here, you can catch a local 'sept-place' (shared taxi) heading to Dakar. Inform the driver you're heading to IFAN Historical Museum. The ride will take around 1 hour. Once you arrive in Dakar, ask to be dropped off near the Museum of Black Civilizations, which is close to the IFAN Historical Museum. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the museum entrance.
