Getting There

• Walking

  To get to Route Serigne Ababacar Lô from the center of Thiès, start at the Thiès train station (Gare de Thiès). Exit the station and head north on Rue de la République until you reach the intersection with Avenue Malick Sy. Turn right onto Avenue Malick Sy and continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by several local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the local market on your left as you approach the main square. Once you reach the main square (Place de la République), continue straight onto Avenue Faidherbe. After about 500 meters, you will need to turn left onto Rue R33. Continue walking for another 300 meters, and you will arrive at Route Serigne Ababacar Lô, where you can find the historical landmark.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the center of Thiès, head to the nearest bus stop near the Thiès train station. Look for a bus heading towards Thiès Nord. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you need to get off at Route Serigne Ababacar Lô. The journey should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. When you get off the bus, you will be within walking distance of the landmark. Walk along Rue R33 for about 200 meters to reach Route Serigne Ababacar Lô.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the city. Start at the central square (Place de la République) and head towards Avenue Malick Sy. Follow the same route as you would walking, but on your bicycle. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Rue R33 and cycle for approximately 300 meters. You will reach Route Serigne Ababacar Lô, enjoying the sights of the city along the way.
