Walking
If you're starting from the Republic Square (Trg Republike), head east on Knez Mihailova Street, which is a pedestrian zone filled with shops and cafes. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the end of the street. At the end, turn left onto Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra and walk for about 500 meters. You will see the Royal Gate on your right-hand side, located in the Kalemegdan Park.
Public Transport
From the main bus station (Autobuska stanica), take tram line 2 towards 'Banjica'. Ride for 5 stops and get off at 'Kalemegdan'. After exiting the tram, head west towards the Kalemegdan Park entrance. Walk through the park, and the Royal Gate will be visible as you approach the fortress area.
Taxi
You can easily catch a taxi from any location in Belgrade. Just tell the driver 'Kalemegdan' or 'Royal Gate'. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis are a convenient option if you're carrying luggage or prefer a direct route.
