Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Podrinje and head southeast on the main road (Route 23). Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach Despotovac. As you enter Despotovac, look for signs directing you to Resavska Cave. The cave is located at Cerska3, Despotovac 35213. There is a parking area available near the cave entrance, which is free of charge.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from the Podrinje bus station to Despotovac. Buses operate several times a day, and the ticket price is around 200 RSD (Serbian dinars). The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Despotovac bus station, you can either walk (approximately 2.5 kilometers) to the cave, following the main road, or take a local taxi for about 300 RSD. Taxis are usually available outside the bus station.

  • Walking from Despotovac

    If you choose to walk from the Despotovac bus station to Resavska Cave, exit the station and head south on the main road (Route 23). Continue straight, following the road signs for Resavska Cave. The walk is approximately 30 minutes and is relatively straightforward, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be uneven.
