If you are traveling by car from any location in Stara Planina Mountain, you will first want to navigate towards the town of Bajina Bašta. From Stara Planina, head towards the town of Pirot, then take the E-75 highway north toward the town of Niš. From Niš, take the exit onto the R-120 towards Bajina Bašta. Follow the signs to Bajina Bašta. Once you reach Bajina Bašta, continue on Milenka Topalovića Street to reach the entrance of Tara National Park.

To reach Tara National Park using public transportation, start by taking a bus from any nearby town in Stara Planina to the major hub in Niš or Užice. From Niš or Užice, find a bus that goes to Bajina Bašta. The frequency of buses may vary, so be sure to check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Bajina Bašta, you can either walk to the park entrance along Milenka Topalovića Street or take a local taxi if you have heavy luggage or prefer not to walk.
