Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any point in Stara Planina Mountain, take the local roads towards the main road leading to the town of Niš. Follow the signs for the E75 highway towards Belgrade. Once you are near Belgrade, take the exit towards Avala (look for signs pointing to 'Avala'). Continue on the local roads until you reach Beli Potok, where Avala is located. Parking is available near the entrance to Avala.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Avala by public transport, first find your way to the nearest bus station in Stara Planina Mountain. Take a bus heading towards Belgrade. Upon arriving at the central bus station in Belgrade, transfer to a local bus (Bus number 401) that goes directly to Beli Potok. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Ensure to have some Serbian dinars for the bus fare, which typically costs around 150 RSD. After arriving in Beli Potok, follow the signs to Avala, which is a short walk away.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from your location in Stara Planina Mountain to Avala. You can book a taxi through local services or use a ride-hailing app if available. The journey duration will depend on your starting point, but expect the fare to be around 3000-5000 RSD depending on traffic and distance.

• Hiking

  For the adventurous, if you are already in the vicinity of Stara Planina Mountain, you might consider a hiking route to Avala. There are various trails, but it's recommended to check local maps or consult with local guides for the best paths. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and enough water. This option is best for those familiar with the terrain.
